There was a time when it thrived, but those days are long gone — especially here in San Francisco. The city has gone to hell.

I’ve tried time and again to launch kink events at the Asylum, offering a massive venue reminiscent of what we had with the Armory. But the people showing up aren’t there to engage.

They’re just chasing clout, snapping pics for their OnlyFans or some other paywall-driven garbage. It’s tearing apart the original vision of what this was all about.

Call me a purist, but 90% of what we see on social forums these days are scams, and it’s destroying the trust prospective students once had in kink leaders. It’s poisoning the well.

So stop. Just stop.

This community needs to rebuild itself offline, in real connections, because the online world is nothing but fake posturing and people living in fantasies they don’t even embody in their real sex lives.
