“Mysteries of Peter’s Enchanted Mind Control Voyage”

Peter had always found himself inexplicably drawn to her — the woman with the sun-kissed blonde hair and the voice that dripped with disdain whenever she addressed him. Their first encounter was nothing less than catastrophic, with her openly criticizing his presentation during a meeting, leaving no stone unturned as she dissected every tiny flaw. That moment had left an indelible mark on Peter, and every interaction thereafter was tainted with the bitterness of that memory.
He found himself ruminating over her criticisms, dissecting every encounter, allowing his animosity to grow. Her very presence triggered a visceral reaction in him, causing a knot of anger in the pit of his stomach.
One evening, as he lay in bed, tossing and turning, consumed by these spiraling thoughts, Peter recalled a conversation he had with Doctor DuBois years ago about the power of the mind and how she’d used this secret technique to overcome a famous porn star’s fear of dogs since it bit her in the face and ripped and gnarled her face to the bone.
She lost her career in acting because of her horrible disfigurement. Dr. DuBois once sent this woman to his residence. He wasn’t interested in her; she appeared pregnant.
“How can you do this to me? DuBois. Answer.” “Because it feels good Peter.”
Anyways, he didn’t think much about the whore. He just wanted to think more deeply about the pattern. The secret technique.
Desperate to find relief from his incessant mental turmoil, Peter decided to give it a shot.
He started by identifying his Trigger Image — the moment when she’d first criticized him in that boardroom. The memory was stark, cold, and filled with her sharp words that felt like daggers.
Then he crafted a Desired Image. In this scene, he saw himself looking at her with warmth, understanding, and love. He saw them laughing together, truly seeing each other beyond the superficial veneer of workplace dynamics. He incorporated elements of gratitude, focusing on the growth their interactions had spurred in him, and whispered affirmations like, “I choose love and understanding.”
With these two images clear in his mind, Peter began the Secret Technique. Each time he did, the animosity faded just a bit more, replaced by a warmth that he hadn’t felt before. After several rounds, he felt a transformation. The bitterness had been replaced with a tender affection, an understanding that her criticisms weren’t personal attacks but perhaps a reflection of her own internal struggles.
The next day, as he stepped into the office, he encountered her in the hallway. She shot a snarky remark his way, but instead of the usual flare of anger, Peter felt a surge of warmth. He met her gaze, his eyes soft, and said, “I hope you have a wonderful day.”
She looked taken aback, her defenses momentarily dropping, revealing a hint of vulnerability. Over the next few weeks, Peter continued to respond with kindness, even love, no matter the provocations. Slowly, the walls between them began to crumble.
One evening, they found themselves working late. As they sat across from each other in the dimly lit office, she finally let her guard down. “Why are you so kind to me after everything?” she whispered.
Peter smiled, “Because I chose to see beyond our initial encounters. I chose love.”
To his surprise, she chuckled. “You’re something else, Peter.”
He closes his eyes and there is Doctor DuBois as she rises and slips out of her skirt. He finds himself at her feet. She gracefully settles onto his lap. Drawing close, her voice a mere breath, she murmurs, “Remember what the doormouse said? Feed your head, Peter. Feed your head…”
