Oblivion — The Anchored State

Now, imagine that you are stepping back, just a little bit, from these thoughts and feelings. See yourself watching them from a distance, as if you are an observer, separate from the stream of thoughts and emotions. Notice how this perspective allows you to see everything clearly, without being caught up in it.

With each breath, you find yourself becoming more and more detached from the thoughts and feelings. You are simply the observer, watching the play of consciousness unfold. You realize that these thoughts and feelings are not you; they are simply experiences passing through your awareness.

Now, imagine that everything you have ever experienced in life — all the man-made structures of reality, the rules and systems that tell you how to think, how to feel — imagine they are all dissolving away. See these constructs fading, like mist in the morning sun, leaving you in a pure, open space of awareness.

In this open space, free from the constructs of reality, you find a deep sense of peace and clarity. You are the true observer, beyond the rules and systems, simply present with what is. In this state, you are free to experience life without the constraints of imposed structures, simply watching, aware, and at peace.

Now, imagine a path in front of you. This path leads to a state of complete nothingness, a state we will call Oblivion. Begin to walk down this path, feeling each step bringing you closer to this state of complete emptiness. As you walk, notice the surroundings becoming less distinct, fading away, until all that remains is the path and your sense of calm.

Focus on the sensations of this journey. Notice how your body feels lighter with each step, as if gravity is losing its hold. The sounds around you become softer, fading into a gentle hum, and the colors of your surroundings slowly dissolve into shades of grey. You are moving into a place where there is nothing but calm.

As you continue to walk, imagine that your thoughts and feelings are like clouds drifting in the sky. With each step, these clouds begin to dissolve, disappearing into the clear, empty sky of your mind. You are moving into a state where there are no thoughts, no feelings, just pure existence.

You are now approaching the edge of Oblivion. When you are ready, take a deep breath in… and as you exhale, step into Oblivion. Feel yourself entering a state of pure nothingness, where there is no past, no future, only the present moment. In this state, there is nothing to do, nothing to think, nothing to feel. You are simply being.

As you float in this state of Oblivion, anchor this experience with the phrase “Red, Red, Red.” Each time you say or think “Red, Red, Red,” you will be able to return to this state of pure nothingness, feeling completely at peace and free. Imagine the word “Red” glowing softly in your mind, becoming brighter and more vivid each time you repeat it. This will be your anchor to Oblivion, a trigger that brings you back to this place of calm and clarity.

Now, consciousness exists outside of you, with your brain merely serving as a tool to perceive it. By programming your mind today and every day while at this “Level,” you shape your experiences, feelings, thoughts, ideas, and emotions. And so it is. This is your natural state, making it very easy to practice today and tomorrow. Twice a day is good, three times a day is even better.
